Introducing Local Food Market Software
Our Local Food Market software can be used to help build and support a local food market.
We have two local food markets in production, and a third under development.
In both markets, Buy Local Food Market software is used to reduce transaction costs, and make the market more profitable through: increased convenience, reduced uncertainty, and building a local market database.

Schoharie Fresh (schohariefresh.com) is an online consumer retail market in Schoharie County, New York. This project was established with the support of a New York State Healthy Food/Healthy Communities grant. Schoharie Fresh was launched in August, 2010 using the Local Food Market software.
The North Country Grown Cooperative (northcountrygrownmarket.com) is a local wholesale market in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties, has been in operation many years, and began using the software in August, 2011.
Are you a farm cooperative or community organization that wants to establish an online local food market?
Please contact Kim Mills at email@example.com or 315-256-5182
“Dear Kim, Your on-line inventory and order management program you developed for the North Country Grown Cooperative is just plain outstanding. My colleague from Co-Bank was equally impressed saying that it had grater capability that those of some of mult-million dollar produce co-ops in his portfolio.
I appreciate your ability to listen carefully to the needs of the co-op’s manager and farmers, ask key questions, and translate those needs into a well engineered program.
I encourage you to seek additional partners and sources of support to continue development. This software has huge potential to help agricultural (and with slight adaptations fisheries or forestry) cooperatives small and large to be more effective in managing supply and demand as well as in financial management—all to the benefit of producers.”

“Dear Kim: I want thank you for your contribution to our New York State Department of Health project Creating Healthy Places in Schoharie County. The software you created to support Schoharie Fresh, our online market for local food, has been a great success in the community.
The Schoharie Fresh software system was very easy to learn and simple to use on a daily basis. It allows producers to manage their products and orders, and very efficiently supports the administrative tasks of running the online market which leads to lower overhead costs.
In addition to supplying an excellent software product, I appreciate how you have worked so closely with our staff over the past two years to continually make the software more powerful, and help keep our operation running smoothly. Each time we came to you with an idea or need you were available and willing to adapt and further develop the program.
I encourage you to seek out additional community partners to apply your software and build local food projects. The New York State Department of Health is highly impressed with the capabilities of Schoharie Fresh and its ability to open new markets for fresh, healthy foods and provide access to traditionally underserved populations.”
